Vidective AI is a tool that finds a specific moment inside a video for you. Paste a YouTube link or upload your own video file, describe what you're looking for in plain English, and Vidective tells you exactly when it happens.
No. You can try Vidective right away without signing up. Creating a free account just gives you more searches per day and unlocks Timestamped mode.
Paste a YouTube link or upload a video file, type a description of what you want to find, and press Find Events. Vidective reads through the video and shows you the results.
Both work the same way from your side. YouTube links are usually faster because Vidective can often read the video's transcript. Uploaded files are analyzed frame by frame, which also lets you download clips afterward.
Common formats like MP4, MOV, and WebM all work. If a file won't upload, try converting it to MP4 first.
You describe what you're looking for, such as a person, an action, a topic, or a specific line someone said. Vidective checks the video's transcript, audio, and frames, and returns the exact timestamp of every place it finds a match.
Almost anything: a person, an object, an action, a topic being discussed, a specific quote, an event, or even a mood. The more specific your description, the better the results.
Vidective gives each result a confidence score so you can see how sure it is about a match. Clear, specific descriptions of well defined moments tend to get the most accurate results.
A higher score means Vidective is more confident that the moment matches your description. If a result has a low score, it's worth checking it yourself before relying on it.
Yes. Attach a reference photo of a face, object, or scene, and Vidective will find every moment in the video where that exact thing appears.
Yes. Vidective looks through the whole video and returns every matching moment it finds, not just the first one.
For uploaded videos, once Vidective finds a moment, you can generate a clip of it right in your browser and download it. No editing software needed.

Right now, direct clip downloads work for uploaded video files. For YouTube videos, Vidective gives you the exact timestamp so you can jump straight to that moment in the player.

Summarized mode turns Vidective into an AI video summarizer: it gives you a quick written summary or answer to your question about the video. Timestamped mode gives you a list of exact timestamps for every matching moment, which you can click to jump straight to.

Yes. Switch to Summarized mode and Vidective works as a full AI video summarizer, giving you a written overview or a direct answer to your question about the video, instead of a list of timestamps.
Yes. You can use Vidective for free without an account, and get more free searches per day by signing up.
A free account gives you more YouTube and upload searches per day and unlocks Timestamped mode.
Guests get 1 free analysis per day on each device. Signing in for free raises that to 2 YouTube analyses and 2 uploads per day. Free use is also limited to 10 analyses per day on any one device, however many free accounts are used on it. Pro has no device limit.
To keep the free plan fair, free use is capped at 10 analyses per day on a single device, no matter how many free accounts are used on it. When that happens you can try again tomorrow, use another device, or get Pro. Pro starts at just $1.99 for a 24 hour pass and works on any device with much higher daily limits. If you share a computer with other people and think this is a mistake, please contact us.
Yes, your daily search count resets every 24 hours.
Yes. Free accounts can summarize YouTube videos up to 60 minutes, use Timestamped mode on YouTube videos up to 30 minutes, and upload videos up to 10 minutes. The single daily analysis you get without an account has the same summary and upload limits. Pro raises these to about 4 hours 15 minutes, about 3 hours and about 2 hours 40 minutes. See "Pro plan: limits and comparison" below for the details.
You can upload files up to 600 MB (MP4, MOV, WebM, AVI, MPEG, WMV, FLV or 3GP). Free accounts need the file to be 400 MB or smaller after our automatic compression; Pro allows up to 600 MB. For anything bigger, upload the video to YouTube as an unlisted video and paste the link instead, since there is no size limit there. Large uploads can take several minutes, so keep the tab open until it finishes. If your connection drops, the upload pauses and continues on its own, and if you refresh the page you can pick the same file again to carry on from where it stopped.
Pro is a paid plan for people who need to analyze a lot of video. It raises your daily limits to 10 YouTube analyses and 10 uploads and lets you analyze much longer videos. The full comparison with Free, including all usage limits, is in "Pro plan: limits and comparison" below.
The 24 hour pass is $1.99 outside India or ₹99 in India, and the monthly plan is $9.99 a month outside India or ₹799 a month in India. Two one-time packs are also available: the Quota Add-on ($6.99, or ₹500 in India) and Pro MAX ($19.99, or ₹1500 in India). You can pay in your own local currency, and UPI and other local payment methods are supported for Indian users.
Yes. Sign up for a free account first, then upgrade to Pro from your account. Your Pro access is tied to your account, not your device.
Yes. Monthly Pro subscriptions renew automatically every month using your saved payment method until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from Manage billing in your account menu, and you keep Pro access for the rest of the period you already paid for.
The 24 hour pass is not refundable, since it's a low cost way to try Pro for a day. Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled anytime, and cancelling within your first 7 days gets you a partial refund: your monthly price minus one day pass price for each full day you used. For example, cancelling on day 3 refunds $9.99 minus 2 times $1.99, which is $6.01. Cancelling on day 8 or later isn't eligible for a refund, since nearly the full month's value has already been used at that daily rate. The same applies to India pricing. To cancel or request a refund, use Manage billing in your account menu, or contact us.

Pro raises your daily limits from 2 to 10 YouTube analyses and from 2 to 10 uploads, and from 1 to 5 reference image searches. It also handles much longer videos: YouTube summaries up to about 4 hours 15 minutes (Free: 60 minutes), YouTube Timestamped analysis up to about 3 hours (Free: 30 minutes), and uploads up to about 2 hours 40 minutes (Free: 10 minutes). The monthly plan includes up to 100 hours of video per billing month and a 24 hour pass up to 15 hours; both have the same daily limits. Pro MAX is a separate pack with its own hours and no daily analysis limit (see below).
Yes. Pro counts the total length of the videos you analyze: up to 100 hours per billing month on the monthly plan (no daily hour limit, only the daily analysis counts), and up to 15 hours on a 24 hour pass. Every successful analysis adds its video's full length, YouTube and uploads alike, and failed analyses don't count. If a video would take you past your hours, it's stopped before the analysis with a message showing how much you have left, so a shorter video may still fit. Monthly hours reset when your plan renews. When your hours run out, a Quota Add-on and then Pro MAX take over automatically if you have them (see below).
A Quota Add-on adds +60 YouTube analyses, +30 uploads and +20 reference image searches, with up to 50 hours of video in total, valid for 7 days. On Pro it kicks in automatically as soon as you reach any of your plan's limits: your daily YouTube analyses, uploads or reference image searches, or your monthly or 24 hour pass hours. Each analysis it covers uses one of its YouTube analyses or uploads (and one reference image search if you attached a photo) and adds that video's length to its 50 hours. Buying another add-on adds its analyses to whatever is left and starts a fresh 7 days with a fresh 50 hours. It also works on a free account, where the free video length limits still apply.
Pro MAX is a one-time pack for heavy use: 200 hours of video and 50 reference image searches, with no limit on the number of analyses, for 50 days. It gives you Pro access while it lasts and does not renew by itself. It takes over only after your monthly plan or 24 hour pass and your Quota Add-on are used up, so you never need to switch anything: your analyses simply continue. Unused hours are lost when the 50 days end, and the Pro access ends early if you use all 200 hours before that. Buying another Pro MAX while one is active adds what is left to the new one and starts a fresh 50 days. The Usage page in your account menu shows exactly how much you have left.
The AI can only take in a certain amount of video in one request. In practice that is about 4 hours 15 minutes for YouTube summaries, about 3 hours for YouTube Timestamped analysis, and about 2 hours 40 minutes for uploads (about 1 hour when matching a reference image). A longer video is stopped right away with a clear message, before any analysis, and that attempt doesn't count toward your limits.
You'll see a message saying exactly which limit you reached (your daily analyses, your daily reference image searches, your monthly or 24 hour pass hours, or your Quota Add-on or Pro MAX hours), how much you have left, and when it resets. A shorter video may still fit. If you need more right away, a Quota Add-on adds +60 YouTube analyses, +30 uploads and up to 50 hours of video for 7 days, and Pro MAX gives 200 hours with no daily analysis limit for 50 days.
No. Only analyses that finish successfully count, toward both your daily analyses and your video hours, on every plan. If something goes wrong on our side or with the AI, just try again.
Yes. Describe the play or moment, such as a goal, a foul, or a specific player's action, and Vidective will find every time it happens in the video.
Yes. This is one of the most common uses. Describe the topic or question, and Vidective finds exactly when it was discussed.
Yes. Attach a photo of the person and Vidective will find every moment they appear in the video.
Yes. Describe the highlight, reaction, or moment you want, and Vidective finds it and lets you download a ready to use clip from an uploaded video.
Yes. Vidective works on long videos too, so you don't have to sit through hours of footage to find the part you need.
Try describing the moment differently or more specifically. If a video has no clear transcript or very poor audio and video quality, some moments can be harder to detect.
Uploaded videos and long videos take longer to analyze because Vidective is checking the actual frames and audio. YouTube videos with a transcript are usually much faster.
This can happen if the video link is invalid, the file is too large, or you've reached your daily search limit. The message on screen will tell you which one it is.
Yes, Vidective works in any modern mobile browser.
No. Uploaded videos are analyzed and then deleted right away. Nothing is kept on our servers.
Yes. Sign in is handled by Supabase using industry standard security, and we only store the minimum account information needed to run the app. See our Privacy and Security page for full details.
